I am a writer and editor using my words to excavate the core messages within music, poetry, and our beautiful quotidian lives.

Whenever I sit down to ramble onto the page it’s because someone else’s message has touched me, whether it be lyrics of a K-pop hit, professions from a demagogue, or a hug from a lover. Writing connects me to other people’s minds, allows them to connect with me. Lets me mold my raw, intangible emotions into something more concrete — something people can see and feel for themselves.

My writing traverses several mediums: blog posts, poetry, songwriting, Tweet-drafting, to name a few. All of these forms challenge me to express myself in varying degrees of complexity, and each reveals life’s beautiful intricacies to me. At its core, writing is communication, and I hope to impart my endless excitement and love on others through my works.

But writing cannot be enjoyed if it cannot be easily shared. As a writer, I prioritize whittling away convoluted barriers to make my work as unequivocal as possible.

Professionally, I work as the copy chief of UCLA’s BruinLife, the student media organization that produces the university yearbook. Here, I help other writers make their articles digestible and train other copy editors on how to make writing more succinct. Additionally, I currently intern for the U.S. Department of Education’s Institute of Education Sciences as a DEIA intern, drafting summaries and blog posts about federal work for employees and the general public to reference.

All of my writing experiences have helped me figure out more of what I value and who I want to be; I hope my work can help you do the same.
